Preparation for Wedding - Part 2

It's been a while that I last updated about my wedding preparation. Here  I come.

I've been looking around to get a suitable dress for my sisters. And finally, I saw this dress online that suits my budget, colour, design and material. Without further hesitation, I ordered six pieces at one go. I hope it turns out exactly like the one I saw.

I also bought the materials for making the corsage. It will be made-to-measure and is to be hand-made by me. See, how nice I treat my sisters. I, myself like it too. Can I have one?

So much about my sisters so what about his brothers. He had decided on the brothers outfit. Actually nothing special, guys as usual are shirt and pants for such a formal event. The colour of the shirt is purple and he is also getting a matching tie for them too. We will be out shopping for them this weekend.

We are also having our first official meeting with the helpers this Saturday. I'm sad to say that many of them can't make it but we will carry on with our plan and do whatever we can first. We had already noted down the agendas and draft the actual day itinerary for further amendments. Seems like we are well prepared but there are still lots of things awaiting for us to settle.

So Sick, Poor MinMin

Finally I'm recovering from my virus infection. Accordingly to Doctor Ang, I caught virus from SGH when I visited my dad over the weekend. And I've to suffer till last Monday to consult the doctor. I'm downed with fever, flu and cough. And my highest record was 39.3°C. I'm so afraid that I might burnt my brain. I was being quarantined with my Laogong for two days because he was ill too. We don't even know who was looking after who. Hehe..

Since last week, I sleep early almost every night and I lost my appetite. Is it a good or bad sign? 

Perhaps it is a good sign for me to keep healthy and lose weight. I really hope I can slim down by October for my wedding so that I can be the prettiest bride. To my dear friends, do not worry I will slim down the proper and healthy way.

Happy 23rd Bithday To Me

Back from all the pre, actual and post celebration.

On the eve of my birthday, I went to have dinner with my secondary school classmates at Bishan de Manhattan Fish Market followed by prawning. Though I didn't caught any but at least I have this group of friends to accompany me. We ended around 2am and everyone headed home immediately as they had to work the next day. I know you all were tired but for the sake of me, you all endured through.

On the next morning when I was awake, my Laogong presented a bouquet of sunflower. It was my long awaited gift from him. As usual he cooked 面线 for me with an egg, drumstick and not forgetting my favourite crab stick.

After lunch, we prepared ourselves and headed to Vivo City for movie, Shrek Forever After. It's a nice fairytale and they stayed happily ever after. After the movie, it's time to report for our dinner at Valley Point de Dozo. It's our first fine dining experience and it turned out to be good. Service, ambience, location, food and drink 10 out of 10. After that we met our friends for dessert at Dempsy de Ben & Jerry.

A simple movie, a simple dinner make my day. Thanks Laogong.

Laogong & Laopo

my 23rd birthday

For my post celebration, it was with my gal friends. We had the cabin seat at New York New York and giggles, gossips all the way throughout the dinner. And they bought me a cake, it's my first cake of this year. Though  is late but appreciate for the effort. I don't know how but we eneded meeting my secondary school classmates. My gal friends and them are schoolmates so can link them together. At last we were at Mount Faber Safra bowling. We played till almost 3am then went home. Great, I picked up my skills again.

Lastly, I would like to thank my friends again and I enjoyed myself.

Excited and Worried

I'm looking forward to enjoy my last week of May. I'll be turning 23 this year and I'm ready to party. Party means celebration, too old to club le. I will update you people with photos real soon.

I've already got my first birthday present from my hubby which is a Ralph Lauren bag. The second one came from my colleague, a Chomel bracelet. Next is my yearly birthday card from JingWen. Will I receive more?

I've got mix feelings right now. Though I'm excited over my birthday celebration but I'm feeling worried too. Sad to say that my dad had to be admitted to the hospital for further observation due to his pain in his stomach. I'm currently in the ward with him right now. He seems to be feeling much better but we are still waiting for his results before he can be release. Everything will be fine.

Simply Lazy

I'm simply lazy to blog because nothing big happen during this period. 

Only that I saw Joanne Peh and Pierce Png at Changi Airport Terminal 3 de Coffee Bean. I've been seeing actors and actresses. Purely luck. Is this consider a big happening?

Recently I'm not so busy at work but quite busy with my wedding preparation. 

I've been working on the slides to be shown on the day of my wedding. Trying to show my creativity in designing them but my brain is not working. Perhaps not in the right mood yet. Every now and then when I saw something useful for my wedding, I will note down. 

Next I'm also attending to the application of flats. I had just applied for the Punggol Emerald and Waves. Other than that I'm also looking at a re-sale flat just directly opposite my brother. If the price is reasonable, I'll be my brother's neighbour and the celebration is that I'll still be staying at Henderson Crescent. It's my hometown after all. I hope my wish will come true.

30 April : Surprise birthday party for YenShan with my secondary school classmates

01 May : Labour Day cum birthday party for KaiLi and ShiQing (it's a BBQ with his families)

08 May : Anita's 21st birthday party (she's my childhood friend) 

09 May : Viewing photos layout and design for the album @ Whitelink (i know you all want to see them)

               Having an interview for my school magazine in regards to my photo shoots (will post it up) 

12 May : Anniversary (4 years le) also MeiJuan's birthday

16 May : Papa's birthday (shall arrange a day out for dinner cum celebrate Mother's Day)

27 May : My birthday (it's a long weekend because the next day is Vesak Day)

Conclusion : The month of May I will be super busy, please make your appointment early.

De-Stress

I met my secondary classmates this evening for dinner at 乐乐锅. It's a small steamboat shop located opposite Tiong Bahru Market. It's owned by an actor but is those small character. While waiting and enjoying our snacks, we saw the actors and actresses from the show 想握你的手 were there for dinner too. Especially the ladies were all so skinny. I'm paiseh to move forward to take their autography and pictures. I could only see them from a distant. So near yet so far.

Throughout the dinner, I don't think we had proper conversation, it's more like talking craps. After dinner, we shifted to Coffee Beans at Tiong Bahru Plaza. And we continued our craps there.

I noted that laughing is a good way to de-stress. I should organise more of these gathering to laugh and de-stress myself.

Preparation for Wedding - Part 1

19 March 2010 (Friday)

7.30am :  Woke up, shower, breakfast

9.00am : Set off to Whitelink @ Kaki Bukit

9.30am : Reach Whitelink

We proceed to the second floor of the building for our studio shoot first. We were feeling excited especially me because I can't imagine myself in all the outfits that we've chosen. Before our photo shoots, Sammi make up for me for about an hour. After me, Laogong was next to make up. Haha, I kept laughing because it's Laogong first time applying make up. He looked different and me too.

After making up and changing, we moved to the studio and met our photographer. Our first impression of him is cool as he had his long hair bundled up that make him looked stylish. Soon after he started talking to us, he's a real joker man. He kept cracking jokes and I kept laughing non-stop.

Altogether I changed 4 outfits. For each outfit, I changed my hairstyle.

1st :  Victorian

2nd : Cowboy

3rd : Wedding gown

4th : Evening gown (Red, my favourite colour)

I really love all my different hairstyles with all the different beaded head bands matched by Sammi.

In between our photo shoots, we did had our sandwich lunch prepared by Laogong. Green beans soup and fruits bought by Sammi.

We did our final touch up before setting off for our outdoor shoots. Throughout the journey to RP, Vincent continued to joke around and conduct a mini lesson about photography and BMW. It was raining and we were quite worried about the weather. We counted ourselves lucky because when we reached RP, the sun was shinning brightly at us. We were like aliens in the school because of the way we dressed. Forgetting about our looks, we continued to take our photos and ignored how people looked at us. The weather lasted till we finished our photo shoots at RP.

Our next destination is Changi Broadway. On the way there, it was raining again. When we reached Changi, the rain rain go away. The weather was breezy. We had our photo shoots at the beach playing with the sand and sea water. And with that, we ended our outdoor photo shoots and headed back to Whitelink.
